The enchanted souls

I read Romain Rolland frist time, when I was nineteen. day and night, in the buses, libraries, in my quiet bedroom, when parties were going on downstairs, I read him for a year. I lived closely and fivereshly, in my mind, with his Annette Riviére and fabulous JEAN-CHRISTOPHE.
This goes back to Iran, the early years of 1979 Revolution, when I was an Art student and, more than that, an activist. Years passed by and I went along with my kind of life. Along the way, I met so many real or written characters, those I errased from memory or saved them dearly in the heart of my hearts. Rolland and his remarkable heroes are amongst the latter. JEAN-CHRISTOPHE a heroic figure, Annette Riviére and her ever-in-search soul are two exemplar of sublime literary creation.
